Buenos Aires, January 24 (NA) – Banco Patagonia customers can now make payments in Brazil using Pix QR codes directly from the bank's app, without needing to download other platforms or additional services.
The new feature allows users to pay for purchases at Brazilian merchants that accept Pix, the country's most widely used instant payment system, using funds from their savings account in dollars.
"This is a simple, secure feature that guarantees a unique digital experience for each of our customers," said Lucas Sarco, the bank's Innovation Manager.
To use the tool, the steps are: log in to the bank's app, select "Pay with QR", scan the merchant's Pix QR code, choose the savings account in dollars, and confirm the transaction.
If there are insufficient funds in that account, users can purchase foreign currency directly within the same app to complete the transaction.
According to the bank, as reported by the Argentine News Agency, the process is entirely digital and is activated with the usual QR button in the app.
"With this addition, Banco Patagonia facilitates a hassle-free trip to Brazil for its customers."
